Pancake Recipe

On this blog page we present a pancake recipe that is easy to be made. Pancakes are cakes made from a mixture of flour, eggs, sugar and milk. The ingredients are mixed with water and become thick batter, fried on a griddle flat smeared a little oil. Pancakes can be served with extra butter, maple syrup, jam or honey, blueberries, chocolate chips, cheese, a piece of meat.


  1. 3 Eggs
  2. 1 Pint Milk
  3. 1 lb self raising flour
  4. 6oz caster sugar
  5. 3 teaspoons baking powder

Note: 1 Pint= 0.6 litres – 1 lb = 450gr – 6oz = 170gr


  • First break the 3 eggs into a large jug or bowl
  • Pour the pint of milk into the eggs
  • Whisk the eggs and milk together
  • Now add the dry ingredients……first the 1 lb self raising flour
  • Next the 6 ounces caster sugar and then 3 tea spoons of baking powder
  • Now whisk all the ingredients together
  • Leave the batter to rise for about 1 hour
  • Then take a large spoon and beat the batter to a thick dropping consistency
  • if you think it’s to thick add a splash of milk
  • Heat a large frying pan or gridlle on a medium heat – wrap a piece of butter in a serviette to grease the pan
  • Now turn the heat up to full and use the spoon to dollop the batter on the pan
  • Leave the pancakes to cook until the bubbles appear and the edges dull – separate them with a spatula if they have stuck together – flip them with the spatula
  • Leave them to cook on the other side for about three minutes, they should be evenly browned on both sides
  • Place the cooked pancakes on to a wire wrack with a clean dish towel ovel it
